Amelio’s self-assessment templates are very different from traditional self-assessments where employees are asked generic questions such as “What are your three strengths?” or “What are your areas for improvement?”
They are also not designed as quick questionnaires to complete or as exercises where employees assign themselves scores.
Why do we offer multiple questions around the same theme?
Because our intention is different from traditional self-assessments.
We want to help employees reflect more naturally on their experience — without the pressure of the blank page syndrome. 🙅
That is why several questions are often proposed around the same theme.
Employees can explore different angles and choose the question that resonates most with what they are truly experiencing.
Instead of searching for the “right” answer, they can start from the question that best helps them put words to their reality.
Examples of more inspiring questions
For example, instead of asking:
“What are your strengths?”
our templates may explore the topic through different perspectives such as:
In which situations do you feel most in your element?
What contribution are you most proud of?
Which strengths would you like to use more often?
What tends to go unnoticed in your work, even though it strongly reflects your strengths?
This approach makes self-assessments more accessible, more contextualized, and more meaningful. 💫
It helps avoid automatic or surface-level responses and encourages employees to reflect on what genuinely matters to them while providing concrete examples from their experience.
