A Work Profile is an employee's professional profile in Amelio.
It brings together the information related to an employee's role within the organization, helping colleagues get to know one another while allowing administrators to analyze survey results across different groups of employees.
Created when employees are imported into Amelio, the Work Profile evolves as your organization changes.
Help employees collaborate
Work Profiles allow employees to learn more about the people they work with by displaying information such as:
manager
department
work location
other organization-specific details
This makes it easier to connect with colleagues across teams and departments.
Improve survey analysis
Work Profile information is also used to analyze survey results by employee groups.
For example, results can be segmented by:
department
manager
location
job title
This provides deeper insights and helps organizations prioritize meaningful actions.
Individual survey responses always remain confidential. Results are only available once the confidentiality threshold has been reached.

Who can update a Work Profile?
Employees can update some personal information themselves, including: their contact information and the spelling of their name.
Organizational information such as departments, managers, locations, and employee attributes can only be updated by administrators or HR users.
Control what employees can see
Not every profile field needs to be visible to everyone.
Administrators can hide information such as birth date and hire date.
This helps organizations balance collaboration with privacy.
Exclude attributes from Colab and Recognition
Some employee attributes are useful for reporting but unnecessary in the Colab and Recognition modules.
For example, employment status (full-time, part-time, student, etc.) may not be relevant when creating a challenge or sending recognition.
Administrators can simply enable the option: "Do not include in praise and idea modules."
The attribute remains available for reporting while being hidden from those modules.
