How to export your results to Excel? Notes on survey hits and continuous improvement

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Amélio allows you to export survey results in Excel format while respecting the confidentiality and anonymity of employees.

Data can be exported for all employees and can also be classified by demographic attributes.

How to export your results to Excel?

  1. Click on the Culture & various polls form Surveys tab on the left menu and then click the arrow to the right of the View Report button.

  2. Select the "View Sent Surveys" option

  3. Click on ''Export results'' to download the data for the selected survey instance.

  4. A selection window will then allow you to choose the attribute you wish to download.

Notes on survey hits and continuous improvement

  • Each survey occurrence can be downloaded independently. If you want to download all data for a survey, you must download each survey occurrence.

  • Continuous Improvement surveys do not send all questions to all employees on each survey. It is normal for one row of the Excel extract to show only 20 responses out of 130 questions, for example, if your survey is 20 questions per month and the total survey has 130 questions. The data in the extract corresponds to the results received for the selected survey instance.

  • Blank boxes in an Excel extract mean that the employee skipped this question or did not receive it.

Privacy Notes

Several rules ensure respondent confidentiality:

  • If you wish to download results by demographic attributes (e.g., department), 5 respondents are required per attribute. If a group has less than 5 respondents, the attribute name will be changed to "Not defined due to privacy rules".

  • If there are fewer than 5 respondents with "Not Defined Due to Privacy Rules", they will not be included in the export file to prevent cases where there are only 1 to 4 employees in a separate group. This means that it is normal if your Excel export has up to 4 fewer respondents for a demographic attribute than when you look at the results for the entire organization.

  • You can only export one attribute at a time to preserve confidentiality. The number of exports is unlimited.
