Features requiring dates of birth Features that require hiring dates

Updated over a year ago

Dates are optional in Amélio. They are mainly used to compare the results according to the different groups of employees.

The platform will automatically group employees into the correct age and seniority range and move the employee to a different category over time.

Analyzing the results by age or seniority groups can be useful in allowing you to take targeted actions tailored to the needs of each employee group, in addition to giving you clues about the elements of your corporate culture that make you stand out to your employees.

I would like to use the analysis of results by seniority and age, without entering them in the Excel file for importing employees. Is this possible?

Yes, here are two options to explore to benefit from comparison groups without filling in the date.

  1. Use an abbreviated date format by indicating a generic day and month, followed by the actual year (01-01-YYYY)

  2. Ask for attributes at the end of the survey so that employees can self-identify their age and/or seniority range (not recommended for a continuous improvement survey)

Different features of the platform are also based on dates and can be activated in your account.

Features requiring dates of birth

Accurate birth dates can be helpful in building team spirit by recognizing an employee's birthday to colleagues and the manager on that special day.

The manager will receive an email 7 days prior to the employee's birthday to remind them to recognize the day. This email includes ideas and suggestions for activities to recognize the employee on their birthday.

➡️ Note: It is possible for you to hide the birthdays (day and month) and hiring dates on employees' profiles. To do so, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to the Admin tab > Company details and then, on the Age Group or Tenure menu.

  2. Finally, check the box 'Do not display the date of birth on employee profiles' or 'Do not display the hiring date on employee profiles'.

Features that require hiring dates

The employee's hire date can be used to strengthen the relationship between the manager and his or her team by sending an email at specific points in the employee's career progression.

Amélio can send a service anniversary reminder to the employee's manager 7 days before the event (after 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 years of service). The tool will also announce anniversaries on the same day to the employee's colleagues.

The hire date can also be used as a trigger for engagement surveys. When preparing a survey, you can specify a waiting period for new employees.

For example, you could specify that engagement surveys cannot be sent to an employee if they have been with the company for less than 30 days.

This feature is useful when you combine the process with onboarding and integration surveys.

You could plan to send out a welcome and onboarding survey 2 weeks after the employee is hired and then send out the first engagement survey 2-4 weeks later.

I had not planned to use birth or employment dates when I launched, but now I want to activate these components. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible to add birth and employment dates to your employees' profiles in the platform.

Contact our support team to get more details on how to easily add the product.
