Launching the Recognition Module: Timing Matters
A culture of recognition grows over time by showing that it truly matters. That’s why the moment you launch can make a real difference in building momentum.
The Best Moment? Alongside a Survey
Capitalize on an existing moment of attention. When employees complete a survey, they’re already in a reflective mindset, thinking about their work environment, colleagues, and daily experience. This makes it the perfect time to encourage a recognition gesture.
Why it works:
🎯 Direct engagement: At the end of the survey, employees can be invited to nominate a colleague, boosting participation.
💬 Inspiration prompts: Suggested nomination themes can spark ideas, such as: “Nominate a colleague whose positive energy has been contagious lately.”
No Survey Coming Up? Launch Anyway With Intention
If no survey is scheduled soon, don’t wait for “perfect” conditions. There’s never a wrong time to start a recognition initiative, as long as you prepare and launch with purpose.
Tips for a meaningful launch:
🗓️ Announce it during a team event or in your internal newsletter.
🙌 Highlight a few recent wins to set the example.
✍️ Encourage leaders to send the first recognition messages (this sets the tone).

How to Deploy the Module to All Employees
Once you’re ready to go live, the activation happens in two steps.
1️⃣ Step One
If you haven’t already, activate the module (see Step 2 in the Step-by-Step Guide to Launch the Recognition Module).
2️⃣ Step Two
Officially deploy the module to all employees by granting them access to the platform.
To do this, follow the instructions in the “Trigger the platform login email” section of the Management of roles and access to the platform article.
Launching With a Survey? If you’re launching alongside a survey, set the employee platform access date and time to match your launch schedule.
This way, when employees activate their profile via the email they receive, they’ll be automatically redirected to the survey in progress.
See an example of the activation email employees will receive here.
