How to Configure the Score for a Question

If you want to calculate the average score for a question or remove it from the score calculation, follow these steps.

To make these changes, an account with permissions to edit surveys is required.

When a question is included in the score calculation, its average score contributes to the Engagement Score associated with its factor and subfactor.

Excluding a question from the score calculation is useful when collecting opinions or qualitative feedback on a topic without affecting the overall Engagement Score.

Configure the score for a question

  1. Go to the Surveys menu.

  2. Find the survey to edit, click the three dots next to its name, then select Edit survey.

  3. In the Questionnaire section, click the question you want to modify.

  4. Enable or disable the option Do not calculate a score for this question, depending on the desired result.

    • Unchecked: The question is included in the average score.

    • Checked: The question is excluded from the average score.

  5. Save the question, then click Save and continue at the bottom of the page.

  6. Exit the survey editor.

Once the changes are saved, return to the Results view. The score will now be displayed or removed for the selected question, depending on the option chosen.

Average scores are available for Multiple Choice, Yes/No, and Scale questions. Qualitative questions and other question types are not included in the calculation.
