How the CoLab module works
Updated over 2 months ago

Amélio helps employers innovate with its module that involves employees and develops their sense of belonging.

The platform leverages the strength of your internal network to find innovative ways to attract new customers, transform your industry, or optimize productivity in your company.

Here's how it works

Challenges

Questions with specific objectives are defined by the organization's administrator.

These challenges aim to engage employees, for example, to define new strategies to accelerate the recruitment process, reach millennials, establish a new advertising campaign (better than your competitors!), improve your products, etc.

There are different ways to participate in the CoLab module:

  • Via email invitation

  • Directly on the platform

  • Volunteer

  • Vote for the best idea

Email invitation

Once the challenge is set up, employees will receive an email with the challenge description, parameters, and deadline for participation, if applicable.

By clicking the button to submit an idea in the email, they will then be redirected to the platform, where they can submit their suggestion.

At the end of the survey

Once the survey has been submitted, employees are asked one of the guided questions and invited to share an idea.

When an employee publishes an idea, it is shared with members who are part of the audience targeted by the person who posted the idea.

Colleagues who have access to the suggestion can then vote for it and improve it by adding comments.

Account administrators always have access to all published suggestions

On the platform

Employees can also submit ideas at any time, or make simple suggestions on work methodologies or team activities, for example.

To do so, simply go to the CoLab section of the left-hand menu.

Employees can then add their own suggestions, or be inspired by the various suggestions available:

The audience to which the suggestion is made accessible can be determined by the employee when they publish it.

The suggestion and comments can be added anonymously or not.

It can also be shared with the whole organization, its department or another, or as a private message to a single person.

➡️ Note: You can prevent employees from submitting suggestions to the entire company and also from submitting private suggestions. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Click on the Admin tab > Customization, and then on the Ideas & Suggestions menu.

  2. Finally, under Audience Customization, you can check or uncheck the relevant options.

This option is only available if you have activated the CoLab module.

Volunteer

To turn ideas into actions, employees can volunteer to implement a suggestion. All they need to do is click on the icon.

Vote for the best idea

The challenge administrator can invite employees to vote for their favorite idea to help select the best one.

Creating Challenges

Challenges are available in the CoLab section under Challenges.

To Use the Module

To use the module, users must have access to the Amélio platform to view and comment on suggestions at any time.

If they do not have access, the suggestions can be displayed at the end of the next survey the employee completes. This option can be configured for the organization.

To activate this module, contact your Amélio partner or email us at [email protected].

Facilitating Navigation in the Module

Concerned that it might become a jumble of ideas? Amélio has thought of you!

Labels

Labels make it easier to navigate through the module and classify proposals.

Status

Status also enable you to identify which ideas have been retained, which are under development and which have been completed.

Employees can follow the progress of their ideas directly in the platform.

Filtering Ideas

The filters at the top of the screen allow you to view ideas according to:

  • Chronological order (from most recent to oldest)

  • Popularity of ideas, those that have garnered the most reactions. 🤩

  • The categories you have created

  • The audience of the suggestions

In short, the collaboration module of the Amélio platform allows you to maximize the strength of your network to take your organization further.

Perhaps one of these ideas will become your team's next flagship project!

The collaboration module is free with the Continuous Improvement package.
