Launching the Exit interview
Updated over a week ago

Anonymous exit surveys can be sent in an automated fashion to employees who will soon leave your organization.

Create an exit survey

First create your exit survey in the platform from the Surveys tab in the left menu, then click on Exit interview.

By clicking on Add new survey, you will be able to either use and customize a template or create an entirely new one.

To learn how to set up a survey and edit the questionnaire, go to the survey management section.

When you set up your survey, you will be able to determine the audience for the survey and when they should receive it when the departure date is entered.

For example, you might decide to send a survey to customer support agents a week before their scheduled departure.

Multiple surveys can be active at the same time. The mailings are done automatically if the employee meets the registered criteria.

In short, you could create surveys that cater to specific groups and include different questions for your employee managers.

Schedule the sending time

The survey settings will allow you to define when you want the platform to send the survey.

The exit survey trigger is programmed based on the date an employee becomes inactive in the platform, or, in other words, that a status change date is activated for the "Inactive" status.

You can also schedule automated reminders.Make sure that these reminders are sent before your employees leave if they have a company email address.

Send an exit survey

Exit surveys are sent automatically based on the employee's departure date when the employee is assigned the "Inactive" status.

To make an employee inactive and send them an exit survey, you will need to change their status by editing their profile in the platform.

This is very quick! First, search for the employee in the search bar, then click on "Click here to change the employee's status".

You will then be able to indicate the date of its departure, i.e. the date on which its status will become inactive.

You will then have the opportunity to determine whether or not you wish to send an exit survey to that employee.

Note that if you have multiple exit surveys for this employee, they will receive each one that they are part of the audience for.

Once you have saved your changes, you will then see a notation under the employee's status showing its scheduled date of inactivity.

View the results

You will have access to the results once more than 3 employees have completed the exit survey.

The results are accessible from the exit survey tab. Only administrators and HR staff can access the exit survey results.

In the default permissions, managers do not have access to view the results of exit or onboarding surveys.
