How do we update all our employees' e-mail addresses?

Is your organization being restructured? Or have you changed your company's name? 😲

Major changes in your organization could mean changes to all your employees' email addresses.

How can you make these kind of changes in the of platform? Fear not - You have options!

Option 1 - Bulk update in your account database

Amélio can update your employees' e-mail addresses.

To do this, we will need your list of employees, one including the old email addresses and one with the new e-mails.

The email address change will be applied for everyone at the same time.

From then on, you will need to notify your employees and managers that they will need to log in using their new e-mail address, but, their passwords will remain unchanged.

Option 2 - Make changes manually in each employee's profile

No charges incurred - Performed by your Amélio account administrator

You can manually go into each employee's profile and replace their e-mail address.

Aside from the actual change of e-mail, this does not change anyone's current profile, including cumulative survey results for managers and recognition received.

No login email will be triggered.

You will need to advise your employees and managers that they will now need to log in using their new e-mail address, while their password remains unchanged.

Modifying your employees' profiles couldn't be easier! Just follow the steps detailed in this article.

Option 3 - Import a new list of employees

No charges incurred - Performed by your Amélio account administrator

Importing a new list of employees with the new e-mail addresses will only deactivate the old profiles and recreate new profiles under new e-mail addresses(unless your unique ID is the employee ID).

An e-mail will be sent to everyone to create an account with their new e-mail address.

⚠️ This is the option we recommend the least of the three options presented, for the following reasons:

  • Employees will lose any recognition sent to them in the past (it will not be reassigned to their new profile);

  • Managers will also have a new profile, and will have to start accumulating survey results for their team from scratch.
