Easily integrate the importance coefficient into your Amélio account by simply adding a question about importance through your surveys. Discover how in a few simple steps.
Recommended strategy to integrate the importance question
First, you can determine through which survey you will add the importance question based on your survey strategy.
We recommend asking it 1 to 2 times per year, this of course depends on your organizational reality. For example, if you expect major changes or significant personnel turnover that could impact your organizational priorities, you might want to ask this question more than the recommended amount of times.
That being said, if you conduct continuous improvement surveys, we recommend asking it at the same frequency through these surveys.
If you exclusively conduct ad hoc surveys (Organizational Diagnostics), then it would be relevant to integrate this question into one or two of the surveys you conduct during the year.
Setting up the 'Importance question'
Once you've determined which survey you'd like to add the question to, here are the simple steps to follow:
Go to the Surveys tab from the menu on the left-hand side.
Click on the tile of the survey to which you will add the question.
From the Questions tab, in the Define the impact of your actions section, check Yes, involve employees to target priorities.
By checking this option, the possibility to set the frequency of this question will appear.
We also advise you to ''ask the question to all employees in the next survey'' to gather data as quickly as possible and to take advantage of the benefits associated with it.
By following these steps, the question will automatically be added to your survey and will be asked according to the settings chosen.
To ensure inclusive results that reflect everyone's opinions, this question will be asked to new employees as well as those who haven't answered it as long as the question is active.
Question Customization
You have the option to remove certain response choices from the importance question, for example, if you consider not having the necessary control to undertake action plans on certain elements, thereby avoiding false expectations.
To do this, you can click on Options in the same settings section and desactivate the priorites you don't want to measure.
ATTENTION⚠️
While it is possible to remove elements, it is strongly recommended to keep as many as possible so that the identified strengths and priorities are representative.
The elements are based on our factors and sub-factors. Once strengths and priorities are identified, they incorporate the level of importance (notably in engagement assessments). Therefore, the more elements you set aside, the higher the risk that your analysis is based on inaccurate priorities and strengths.
The strength of importance assessment lies in its ability to guide you toward areas where your impact will be most significant. However, by deactivating more than 2 to 3 key themes, you lose the strategic advantage of this feature.
